Joshua and Heather were married last Saturday, May 24th at Serendipity in Oak Glen, California. From the horses and carriage to the outdoor altar, Serendipity is awesome. One of the hardest things for me to do as "blog content creator" is to choose 10-15 photos out of 1000 or so. Here are a few that caught my eye...

Jessica and Kurt
We shot Jessica and Kurt's engagement photos in Riverside, not too far from where the tornado hit (see my previous blog entry). On this day, however, the sun was shining. The sun shines bright when couples are in love, hearts flutter away, just like a dove.... sorry, I guess I'm not a poet. That's why I have a camera, not a pen : )
This is going to be a fun wedding, Jessica is super nice and Kurt's a funny guy. He wanted to take some photos in front of a dumpster just to be funny so we did, but I decided not to post them since they were kinda trashy. Yes, another horrible joke! Please, somebody stop me!

Hail! Hail!
Our boys got to witness hail for the first time today, and thankfully they did not get to experience the tornado that touched down over in Riverside (click here). DANG!

Keena and Allan
Here are a few from Keena and Allan's engagement session in Long Beach. I like to do engagement sessions at locations that have meaning to the couple. Keena and Allan spent alot of time here while they were dating, so these photos are a little more special to them than a "Southern California standard engagement shot on the beach" (not that I don't shoot alot of those!!!).
I love it when people bend over backwards for me!

Myanmar
It breaks my heart to see what's happened in Myanmar. I was in the city of Yangon in 2000. According to CNN, 700 people died in Yangon out of an estimated 23,000 nationwide. I'm hoping to go back someday and I hope the people I met in 2000 are still there.
Gift shop. Yes, that's a lions paw.
This photo caught my eye after I returned home and noticed the young street vendor with two thumbs on her hand. Most of the country is involved in agriculture and living off the land. The damage done by the cyclone is going to affect Myanmar for years.

Diana and Christopher
Diana and Christopher will be married on June 28th at the Pomona Valley Mining Co. I had a good time getting to know them on their engagement session. I always feel like such a paparazzi, following people through the streets for photos. At least I don't need to do much directing. What am I supposed to say, "Ok, act as if you're in love!"?

Get Healthy Eating Chocolate!!!???
I'm very pleased to report that Carri just started selling Xocai Chocolate, and I've been eating away at our profits. It's very yummy, since it's chocolate and all, and it's actually good for you. I have a photography client who's doctor actually recommended it for weight loss. Watch this video, it's crazy (click here). For more information (and more importantly, for a sample!!!) contact Carri: carri@romanstudio.com
