Senior Pictures

Senior pictures are so much different than when I was in school. It's basically a super fun photo shoot. This is Amanda, a sweet girl from Canyon Lake. I love the top photo, it reminds me of an old Hollywood movie.

Too Early

So there I am, sleeping in my warm bed at 6:00 AM, when suddenly I am awakened by my wife and 3 sons who suddenly have an urge to get up early and have family time. Now, in case you're wondering, this is absolutely unheard of in the Roman household. Carri pretty much NEVER gets up early, and Jesse my oldest, pretty much takes after her. So, what does an opportunistic photographer dad do in a situation like this? Well, he packs up the family and his gear, heads to the top of a nearby mountain and takes pictures of his sons getting crazy. All before breakfast. Here's Jesse:

Hidden Surprise

One of the coolest things about photography is getting surprised by something in a photo, something that I didn't realise was happening at the time I took the picture. Check out the little girl being hoisted onto her daddy's shoulders at the top of the frame!

Ennouncement

Get it? E-nnouncement? Instead of A-nnouncement? This is an announcement sent by the bride and groom the day after their wedding. I do this (the e-mailable version) at no added cost for anyone who asks. I can also do a wallet sized, print version that you can include in the "thank you" cards that you'll be sending to all those people who get you all those cool gifts, being the polite person that you are.

Little Boys Dream Come True

Here's something you don't get to do everyday (or night), camping on the outfield after watching a baseball game! The Lake Elsinore Storm is the farm team for the San Diego Padres. I had the opportunity to take my two older sons on a sleepover, so you know we went for it! Here's Matthew showing off his new Storm pillowcase:

All Blogged Up

OK, here I am ready to enter the wide world of blogging. This is my first post, and I plan on putting up all kinds of photos from past projects, weddings, trips to Africa and other things that haven't been seen by you, my viewing audience. I will also be posting new photos from current photo shoots and whatnot. Wait, I used my first informal word! I wasn't sure if "whatnot" was an actual word, so I looked it up in the dictionary. Yes, it is a word. It means two things: 1. An informal term used to refer to items that are not identified but are felt to have something in common with items already named. 2. A stand with shelves for small objects. Wow! I've always thought that half the stuff on the internet is useless, and now I've actually proven my own theory in my very first blog. Anyway, here come the photos!
